Some of the topics of EDC 102 include the foundations of teaching, specifically how the different philosophical approaches to teaching and learning call for different teaching strategies. The Context Report assignment was an example of Project-Based Instruction, a strategy consistent with a constructivist approach to learning. Exemplary reports are recognized with a blue ribbon , while significant peer editing efforts are recognized with a star . This revision cycle had a positive effect on the final scores of several students.
